2000 saw me take a chance and break away from my mediocre job as technical support agent at the then second largest IT firm in the world, and go for something more creative. I started working for a small company designing and developing websites and interactive CD-Roms.
Then in 2001, that hit the wall, and I went on to develop various projects as a freelancer. But things were only just ticking over for myself, and the dot com bust was still in full swing. Full-time jobs were scarce. I thought about how to best use my time and enrolled at Goldsmiths College University of London, study commenced in 2002.
In 2005 I graduated from Goldsmiths with a BA (Hons) in Computing and Design for the World Wide Web. The degree consisted of 75% Computer Science and 25% Design (aimed at bringing together the two disciplines).
Now with over eight years in the industry and currently working as Senior Flash Developer at Tonic, I still thoroughly enjoy what I do and look forward to what's coming next...
